Ideal for:

  • Visual diagnosis of soil type and conditions

  • Plant family and species suggestions based on your light, soil and space

  • Inspiration on planting styles (e.g naturalistic, cottage, low maintenance).

  • A discussion of potential layouts or combinations

  • Solutions to specific problems (eg. recommendations for screening or plants for poor drainage.)

No follow-up notes or documents included - this is a pure idea-sparking session.

THE BED BUILDER

2.5 Hour Planting Scheme Session

BEST FOR: Creating a herbaceous planting scheme or refreshing existing borders.

“We’ll walk through your garden together and co-create a planting scheme on the day. Perfect for small to medium gardens with an existing bed layout.”

On the day:

  • Measuring and mapping existing beds or minor layout adjustments.

  • Style and Mood exploration

  • Design of a custom planting palette in person for your gardens conditions and your maintenance requirements.

Afterwards, you’ll receive:

  • Your planting scheme illustrated in a Bloom Calender (showing seasonal interest and key features)

  • An itemised Plant List with quantities and sizes

  • 3 Practical guides to empower your DIY Implementation:
    - Prep Guide: How to prepare your beds for planting
    - Setting Out and Planting Guide: Planting and placing like a pro
    - Aftercare Guide: How to nurture your new planting

  • Quote for supply of your new planting

On the day:

  • Measuring and mapping existing beds.

  • Discuss and agree any bed layout adjustments.

  • Style and Mood exploration

  • Design of a custom planting palette(s) in person for your gardens conditions and your maintenance requirements.

  • Variation of palettes and/ or structure planting to add complexity to the scheme and/or take account of condition variation on site.

Afterwards, you’ll receive:

  • A simple Layout Plan showing updated bed shapes and/or proposed structure planting locations.

  • Your planting scheme illustrated in a Bloom Calender (showing seasonal interest and key features)

  • An itemised Plant List with quantities and sizes

  • 3 Practical guides to empower your DIY Implementation:
    - Prep Guide: How to prepare your beds for planting
    - Setting Out and Planting Guide: Planting and placing like a pro
