abundance of flat-podded, pencil-thin, very
long pods. It has large leaves despite it
being of dwarf habit giving extra protection
to the beans. Pods are stringless when
picked young and will harvest prolifically if
picked often.

of cranesbill correctly. However, I have
grown it in my garden for a number of
years. Hardy and will grow well in almost

This is a lovely annual with almost threadlike
leaves. It bears all summer over a long
period until early frosts masses of bright
yellow flowers each an inch or so accross.
Splendid as a border plant and makes a
useful rather unusual cut flower.


HEMEROCALLIS     DAY LILY HP 2.5-3.5 FT I don't know the cultivar of this day lily as I got it as a small cutting from my mum's garden years ago. A classic for the herbaceous border. Easy to grow, un-fussy about soil type or position. It forms clumps of arching lance shaped leaves with masses of scented yellow-orange lily like flowers. Each last only a day, but the quantity of flowers more than makes up for this.      2.00

species or variety. I have it in my garden
and it will grow just about everywhere. It
prefers sun and well drained soil though. It's
evergreen and in suummer bears many
